7-day gestational diabetes meal plan
A full week of fast, easy meals for pregnancy with gestational diabetes — most take 10 to 20 minutes, use everyday grocery items, and show the carbs per meal so you can match your own targets.
- 7 full days of breakfasts, lunches, dinners and three snacks a day
- Carb grams and prep time for every single meal — most take 10 to 20 minutes
- A grocery staples list, 10-minute snack pairings and quick swap ideas
- Plain-language guidance on how to fit it around your own blood sugar targets
How the plan works
- Eat every 2-3 hours: three meals and two to three snacks keep blood sugar steadier than large meals.
- Pair every carb with protein or fat so sugars rise more slowly.
- Keep breakfast carbs lowest — hormones make mornings the most insulin-resistant time of day.
- Use the plate method: half non-starchy vegetables, a quarter protein, a quarter carbohydrate.
- Read food labels for total carbohydrate and serving size, not just sugar.
- Walk 10-15 minutes after meals when your provider allows it.
- Check your blood sugar as your provider directs and write down what you ate before each reading.
